I can't believe another year has already gone by. Caleb is growing up so fast and seems older every day. Lately, he is really into playing games and will play Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Doodle Dice or Monopoly Junior over and over, multiple times a day--he never tires of them. He also loves anything garbage truck related. He got a huge garbage truck and 6 little trash cans for Christmas and spends lots of time gathering little things around the house to use as trash. Our family room usually has a large pile of assorted items that Caleb says is the "dump". And along with that, he never misses watching the garbage truck empty the cans on our street--definitely a highlight for him every week. He also loves playing "package man" and leaving little packages outside of our bedroom doors; loves checking the mail; loves going to the library and picking out movies and books; loves playgroup; loves being outside and riding his bike and pretending he's a fireman on a firetruck; LOVES to do anything with Evie, especially play school; loves helping me cook/bake, especially cookies; still loves sweeping and vacuuming and emptying the dishwasher; loves listening to music and singing along--he's always humming while he plays and it's pretty adorable; he's obsessed with taking selfies and videos on my camera phone and at any given time, I probably have at least 30 pics/videos of him to view. Caleb is such a sweet boy and always says "I love you" and give hugs. When Greg and Evie leave in the morning, he always says, "I'm gonna miss you 'finity and beyond!" And he's ecstatic when it's a "no work-no school" day. He loves being organized and knowing what to expect out of each day. I have a calendar for him that lays it all out and it's the first thing he goes to each morning. It has check-off boxes for his homework, jobs, book time, and the 3 shows he gets to watch a day. It says who is putting him to bed that night, if it's a bath day, if its a holiday, who gets to pick the Sunday family movie, trash days--recycle and regular, and playgroups. I think he'll always be a calendar-type person that has a plan. He can also accomplish almost anything with a sticker chart :). We love Caleb so much and are so grateful that he's part of our family. We think about and pray for his birthparents every day and hope they know how much we appreciate them. If we're lucky, through the miracle of adoption, Caleb will have a baby brother or sister by his 5th birthday--he's constantly asking "where his baby is" :)
